Dr. Yun Yong-hyun has been working as a curator at the National Science Museum since 1994. Currently, he is Director of the Department of History of Science and Technology in Korea.
The National Science Museum is in charge of the collection, preservation, restoration, research, exhibition, and education of materials on the history of science and technology in Korea.
Dr. Yun Yong-hyun received his doctorate in the restoration of cultural properties from the Department of Cultural Heritage, and his main research fields are the casting and restoration of metal artifacts, and restoration of the automatic water clocks of the Joseon Dynasty, the history of Korean science and technology. In detail, Dr. Yun Yong-hyun is researching Korean printing technology such as metal type casting technology, Korean paper, ink stick, inkstone, and writing brush.
