Jeff L. Davis is a senior graphic design specialist at the University of Utah Marriott Library. He is also a freelance illustrator/ commercial artist/ scenic artist/ set designer/ storyboard artist/ costume designer/ production designer and art director. On the side, he is an actor, fiction writer, gardener, mythozoologist, and world weary traveller. Jeff’s passion is to create; he gathers from his personal experiences, knowledge of weird interesting information, and crazy vivid imagination to present his view of the world through various media.
The Jikji to Gutenburg project combines his love of many subjects including Asian culture, the Mandarin Chinese language (he taught himself how to read and write it while living in Taiwan), typography, block printing and Art History.
