Ji Young PARK is Research Associate in the Translocations cluster at Technische Universität Berlin in Germany. She studied Art history at Seoul National University (Korea) and received her PhD in Museology from Ecole du Louvre, Université d’Avignon (France) and Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada), especially Asian art historical knowledge communication in museum space. Her research interests center around museum exhibition of foreign cultures with displaced objects due to a global imbalance in power and the reception of society. She is currently conducting a book manuscript on Count Otani’s Central Asia Collection exhibition at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul and a data driven research, “Diplomacy and Objects in European collections of Korean Art(i)facts: Celadons and Export paintings”
