Lars Kim (김지영, she/her) is a Korean American designer, printmaker and educator based in Portland, Oregon. As a researcher, she investigates the early development of Korean typography, printing and the transmission of sacred arts along the Silk Road. Her print work frequently blends multiple processes (letterpress, offset lithography, screen print and intaglio), Western and Eastern styles of hand papermaking and fine bookbinding. Lars also co-founded Hanji Edition with Steph Rue, which features art works on Korean handmade paper by artists from around the globe.
