Shukhratillo (Shukhrat) Z. Pulatov is currently the Head of the Conservation and Restoration Department at the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. From 2007 till 2018, he worked as a Head of Conservation and Restoration Department in Abu Rayhan Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies of Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Shukhrat Pulatov was involved in the project “Creation of electronic catalogue of the Main Repository of Al-Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies under the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan” (2007-2016) which is supported by Gerda Henkel Stiftung (Germany). He worked in cooperation with the staff of the Louvre Museum (France) in the project of restoration of the parchment pages of the ancient Katta Langar Qur’an (VIII century). At present, he is a participant of the project “Traditional Handmade Samarkand Paper and its Artistic Expression” under the supervision of professor Koji Shibazaki from Aichi University of the Arts (Japan).
