Timothy Barrett

Timothy Barrett is a specialist in the history, technique and aesthetics of hand papermaking.  His primary research interests have been Japanese and early European papermaking, with a more recent interest in early papermaking in Korea.  He has utilized non-destructive instrumentation during the analyses of historical papers and hands-on experimental papermaking to help answer questions about the quality and character of earlier papers.
